Siana Bangura, also otherwise known as FKA Bangz, is a spoken word performer. She is also the former presenter of spoken word Youtube series, Versified Life.
She has performed at a number of events including Poetry Luv, Canning Town Caravanserai, Feminism in London, Words of Peace at Radio Plus, Edge Fund, Born Free: Fridays, Women of the World festival In Cambridge, Poetry Meets Art at Passing Clouds, Heaux Noir at Cafe Cairo, and the Hettie Ash show. She has graced the stage at the Ain’t I A Woman Collective launch, Clit Rock 6 at Underbelly, has headlined ‘That’s What She Said’ spoken word night at the Peckham Pelican, and most recently, became a semi-finalist of the annual Roundhouse Poetry Slam.
In April 2015, Siana jetted off to perform at Jacobs University as part of their inaugural Women in Leadership International conference.
In October 2015, Siana embarked on a month long tour in celebration of Black History Month in the UK.
Her debut book, a collection of poetry, will be released on Saturday 21st May 2016.
